Workshop Theme:
"Stirring the Heart of Praise"
Singing with Understanding is helping others realize the value of congregational singing. Knowing that our songs are more than just a vocal performance (like what's shown on TV). And that what we do is all about engaging the heart and mind with the words being sung to our God.
We encourage people to reflect ton the words that they sing. What message is being expressed? What emotions or truths do the words convey?
Singing songs of praise to God should never be routine. We sing with genuine feeling, aligning our emotions with the meaning of the song.
Rather than just repeating the lyrics, we must be conscious of the significance, the importance of songs in worship. Where are these references found in Scripture? What do these words mean? Planning to praise is sincerity in focus.
True understanding reaches beyond the song service. Letting the words impact out thoughts, our beliefs, and our actions is application that leads to understanding.
We know 1 Corinthians 14:15, "I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding." It is here that we can reinforce the value of both a heartfelt and mindful worship.

"I learned so much and I'm so thankful I had the opportunity to learn how to make my worship to our Lord and Savior better!"
"These were great lessons, thank you. The Lord’s church needs to hear this."
"As SwtS becomes more well known in the brotherhood, wise congregations will contact Myron to schedule a seminar sooner rather than later."
Myron will provide a rich and engaging experience that will not only enhance the participants' musical abilities but will also deepen their spiritual connection with singing.
It is a journey through the history and the meaning of the psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, offering valuable insight and skills that will draw the worshiper closer to the throne of God.
