Workshop Theme:
"Motivating the Mind of the Worshiper"
Worshiping with Understanding is designed to help Christians see worship is to be more than just our actions or emotions. Worship is about engaging both the heart and mind with intentionality, knowledge and sincerity.
Worship isn't just about singing or rituals. It's about honoring God with awareness of His character, attributes, and wonderful works.
It's about encouraging God's people to study Scripture so they can worship with a deeper understanding of God's greatness.
Worship in the Bible is proskynéo (pros=towards, & kyneo=to kiss) or to kiss the ground when bowing down before a superior.
To worship is to be ready "to fall down/prostate oneself".
When we worship it's more than just singing. It is a heartfelt offering of our prayers, and our giving, and our participation in the Lord's Supper.
It's found in Romans 12:1..."present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship."
Worship should be spirit-led and thoughtful (John 4:24) "Those who worship Him (God) must worship in spirit and in truth."
Emotions are important, but they must be guided with an understanding of God's expectations for our expressions.
True worship must never be the act of 'going through the motions.' It is more of a meaningful, heartfelt connection with God.
Intentionality is a discernment regarding the words we say, the songs we sing, and ultimately the actions we take.
Understanding Worship as God designed it leads to a transformed lifestyle. (Romans 12:2)
Beyond church services to daily living, in everything worship God. If we understand worship, we'll see worship reaches beyond the auditorium.

"I learned so much and I'm so thankful I had the opportunity to learn how to make my worship to our Lord and Savior better!"
"These were great lessons, thank you. The Lord’s church needs to hear this."
"As SwtS becomes more well known in the brotherhood, wise congregations will contact Myron to schedule a seminar sooner rather than later."
Myron will provide a rich and engaging experience that will not only enhance the participants' musical abilities but will also deepen their spiritual connection with singing.
It is a journey through the history and the meaning of the psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, offering valuable insight and skills that will draw the worshiper closer to the throne of God.
